Why Formaldehyde, What is It ?

  • Preservative in many cosmetics

Why Formaldehyde, What is It ?

ANVISA (brazil) + FDA (USA) + REACH (EU): allow the use of formaldehyde From 0.02% to 0.10% active level as a preservative. Osha has three airborne exposure levels for formaldehyde: 1. Permissible exposure limit (PEL) IS 0.75 ppm of formaldehyde in 8 hours. 2. The action level (AL) for 8 hours is 0.50 ppm 3. Short term exposure limit (STEL) of 15 minutes IS 2 ppm

Reactions of Formaldehyde with Wool Keratox

What is Keratox Treatment ?

A keratox treatment is a process that smooths and often straightens hair. You might also hear it called a Brazilian Keratox treatment or a Brazilian blowout. It involves applying products to the hair, blow -drying it, and sealing it with a flat iron.

How Keratox Treatment Works

Keratox is a natural element present in the hair. During the treatment Keratox is applied to hair and sealed with a flat hair iron. Then heat is used for infusing the protein mixture into the hair. After the completion of treatment, hair should not be washed for the next one days. Sodium – sulfate – free shampoo is recommended to attain the effects of this treatment.

 

How long does Keratox treatment take

A Keratox treatment at a professional salon will take approximately one to two hours. It will depend on the length of the hair. The greater the length, the more time it will take.

 

How Long Does Keratox Treatment Last

The effects of this treatment lasts for about thirty to thirty five hair wash depending on the quality of hair i.e.

(Thickness and length) and shampoo conditioner.
